The 2017 Village Produce Show
How to enter
Anyone can enter, with pretty much anything. Grow, bake, make, take. It’s fun, it’s challenging, it’s rewarding AND there are prizes. Don’t miss this opportunity to win big and be the envy of your street, class, household, club or pub…
Just bring your entry along to the Village Hall before 12 o’clock midday on Saturday 15th July.
Prizes & Party!
Return to the hall for refreshments at 3pm.
Prizes will be awarded at 3:30 by a surprise guest.
Followed by an after party BBQ with food and drink for adults and kids alike.
There are rosettes, loads of them, for every category, in every section; there are separate prizes for different age groups; AND there are the section cups; AND there are these all-show prizes:
- Best in Show - overall best entry
- Wooden Spoon - best effort… without a prize
- The Johnson Knocker - Rudest/oddest fruit-n-veg

Rules
The competition is open to anyone living in or associated with Newgate Street village. Visitors are also very welcome to view the show, come to the prize giving and to the party.
All entries must be delivered to the Village Hall between 9am and 12 o’clock noon on the day. If you can't make it, entries may be submitted in advance - please contact Sharon Smith for further details. There is a £1 fee per entry, 50p for children. Competitors must enter their own work/produce. No canned or packet mixes are to be used. There will be no access to the hall while judging takes place. Judges are independent and in all matters their decision is final. All entries need to be removed at the end of the show.
