  • How much does the hall cost and is there a minimal hire period?

    • Hall costs and minimum hire periods depend on the time of day and the day of the week. Please go through to the booking page to find out more.

    • Villagers are eligible for a discounted rate.. Please visit the village Pop-up Post Office on a Tuesday or Thursday morning to get yourself registered.

    • There is also a charge for damage, extra cleaning and over-runs. This is variable. Again, there is more on the booking page.

    • Please note that, to allow for use of the hall by others, back to back bookings and the schedule of caretakers, set-up and clear up time must be allowed for within your booking period.

  • How many does the hall accommodate?

    • There are good number of trestle tables and lots of chairs, you can seat about 70 for dinner.

    • Standing it can accommodate around 100.

    • There is parking for about forty cars in the village car parks but they are by no means exclusive to the hall. They will be busy at school drop off and pick up and when there is a sporting facility on the field. In the evenings and at the weekend, the car parks are typically far less busy.

  • Is there anything you won't let the hall for?

    • Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any teenage parties, nor 20th's or 21st's. It went badly wrong for us once and nobody is willing to risk reliving the experience. Including the police.

  • Does the kitchen have...?

    • The kitchen has a hob, oven and large fridge, It has a double sink, tea and coffee making facilities but no cutlery nor crockery.

    • There is no bar, but the kitchen does have a large serving hatch into the hall.

  • Can I have alcohol?

    • You can serve alcohol but you cannot sell it with out a licence. This is the law. If you need to you can try negotiating with one of the village pubs to provide a drinks service.

  • Tell me about music.

    • We do not have any sort of PA, audio, nor portable music system.

    • However, we do pay the PRS fees necessary to enable you to legally play music on your own system.

    • The hall is in the middle of a tiny village and our usage licences dictate that all music must be stopped by 11:30pm.

  • Do I have to tidy-up

    • Absolutely, yes. You need to leave the hall as you found it please. A cleaning charge will be levied if not.

    • Also, set-up, knock down and tidying time must be concluded within your hire period. Including that of any DJs, hire equipment, etc.

  • Can I use the outdoor space?

    • The playing field and the grass outside belongs to the council and, as such, is not part of the let.

    • However, the hard standing before the field is part of the hall and can be used.
